Exceed scholars Ariane Unterlauft and Matthias Waibel present their Diploma thesis research

The two Exceed scholars, Ariane Unterlauft and Matthias Waibel, spend three months – from the beginning of June until the end of August 2011 – at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, in order to do research for their Diploma theses.

Ariane Unterlauft, Diploma Student in Bioengineering at TU Braunschweig, performs research on the following topic:

Optimization of the ubiquinone production process from industrial residuals using Rhodopseudomonas palustris “.

Matthias Waibel, Diploma Student in Industrial Engineering, does research on the following topic:

Economic Assessment of sustainability at the example of the ubiquinone production with Rhodopseudomonas palustris“.

Both students are supervised by Dr. Victor Alcaráz González, Dra. Rosa Isela Corona González and Dr. Alejandro Aarón Peregrina Lucano at the Univrsity of Guadalajara and byProf. Dr.-Ing. Ezequiel Franco-Lara and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Spengler at TU Braunschweig.
